Led by artist and materials maker Indiana Cristov, this workshop invites you to discover the magic of color straight from nature. Indiana’s mission is to create the highest quality art materials—crafted by and for artists—using small-scale production, natural ingredients, and non-toxic recipes free from artificial additives and preservatives.
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to make beautiful pigments and watercolors using native plants and insects traditionally used in Oaxaca, Mexico. Along the way, Indiana will share the science and stories behind each hue, blending fun facts about chemistry with space for playful, creative experimentation.
